Alexander Raczka works mainly with large-scale paintings and sculptural objects. His artistic process, iconographic layers and materiality, which are inherent to his works are informed by the surrounding urban environment. Raczka also works on books and objects in limited editions, focusing on archival or historical subjects through drawing.
His recent and forthcoming selected exhibitions include “La morsure des termites”, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (forthcoming); “Decorama” at Espace Voltaire, Paris, (2022); Same Dream Maybe not at In Plano, Saint-Denis (2022). In 2020, he was the laureate of the “Prix révélation art urbain” (Adagp / Palais de Tokyo). Raczka received his MFA in Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2019.
Raczka is also the Co-Founder of the artist-run space Volonté 93 based in Saint Ouen. Opened in 2017, Volonté 93 is a multidisciplinary artist collective, a space for creation and residence for artists from various backgrounds.
