Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce that the second edition of the Salon de Normandy by The Community will go ahead as planned from Thursday, 22nd to Sunday, 25th October 2020, at the Normandy Hôtel in Paris.
After careful deliberation and in response to the needs of the arts community as well as the community at large, the collaborative and multidisciplinary Salon de Normandy will take a more local focus on Paris and Europe. Taking over areas currently under renovation at the historic Normandy Hôtel, the Salon will present 20 exhibitors consisting of galleries, spaces, collectives, projects, publishers, and labels for an eclectic program of exhibitions, talks, screenings, and performances.
Amid these disparate and turbulent times, the meaning of culture and solidarity is more important than ever, and it is evident that physical interactions with art are precious and at the forefront of our desires. With this in mind, all efforts will be taken to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, exhibitors, and team members. Following the French government’s regulations and best-practices, our priority is to make sure that the best exhibition conditions are in place without affecting safe viewing experience.
As a non-profit art institute, it has always been The Community’s obligation and responsibility to support and promote the various artists’ groups, collectives, platforms, and independent art spaces. That’s why the Salon de Normandy continues to be free to exhibit, open to the public, and free-of-charge.
Health and safety: All efforts will be taken to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, exhibitors, and team members. Following the French government’s regulations and best-practices, our priority will be to make sure that the best exhibition conditions are in place without affecting safe viewing experience.
The complete list of exhibitors and programming schedule will follow in September, so stay tuned.
As culture and unity have such a significant part to play in these times, we hope that you will join us in October!
Until then, we hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
With love,
The Community
