The Community is proud to present the worldwide launch of the innen anniversary book, a historical zine library and exhibition.

The innen archive zine library consists of hundreds of publications that are on view at The Community Centre for three weeks. The zines are installed on six shelves that are almost 100 meters long together. Visitors are encouraged to sit down and browse the titles. For the occasion, innen has re-printed rare and out-of-print publications that can be purchased as long as stock lasts.

The hardcover book is almost 500 pages, including an introduction by Hans Ulrich Obrist and a cover design by Ed Fella. It brings together all innen publications plus unpublished materials from the archives.

In parallel, the exhibition around the space highlights rare original materials, rare merch, commissioned works and select artists from the innen community.

During the opening, The Trilogy Tape’s founder Will Bankhead will play an experimental music set in the gallery.

innen is an independent publisher, focusing on Swiss and international contemporary artists. Founded by Aaron Fabian in 2006, innen has published over 400 zines and books, establishing itself at the forefront of independent publishers by offering unconventional perspectives on art and subcultures.

In 2010, innen launched Zug Magazine, a biannual selection of contemporary artworks. Zug fosters artistic experimentations in printed matters and each publication acts as a momentary picture-book entwining personal views and practices with broader testimonies of a shared contemporary condition.

In 2017, innen opened an art space and office in Zürich at Haldenbachstrasse 9, which functions as an experimental space hosting exhibitions and book launches. innen publications have been exhibited at Kunsthalle Zürich, Art Metropole in Toronto, Swiss Institute in New York and at MoMA Library.

The evening continues with an after-party at Bar Gallia (35 Rue Méhul, 93500 Pantin) down the street from The Community Centre from 8 pm to midnight.
